Cricut Projects to Sell & Cricut Business Ideas for your Explore Air
If you have some experience with your Cricut Explore Air machine, you may now be looking for Cricut projects to sell as well as business ideas to earn some money from home with your machine. Learning to make Cricut crafts to sell takes creativity, patience, research, and yes–time. For those of you who aren’t that familiar with a Cricut Explore machine, it’s a personal die-cutting machine often used for scrapbook making, classroom decor, signage, and more. However, it can also be a valuable tool to help you succeed in making money at home.
If you enjoy the hobby of scrapbooking, crafting and DIY-ing and are interested in how a die cut machine can help you make extra money, look no further than to your Cricut Explore Air Wireless Cutting machine (and now it’s more powerful big brother – The Cricut Maker) and your own imagination.
Just grab a cup of coffee, eat some chocolate (that’s right, if you don’t know this already, these two things together will explode your creative brain juices:) and start thinking of all the Cricut projects to sell to make money at home with your Cricut Explore Machine.
Cricut Creations Ideas
Vinyl sheets are so popular with a lot of Cricut creations. You can make vinyl signs for walls, in frames, and make fun sayings for tumblers, mugs and water bottles. Having access to fonts like this popular handwritten font bundle is invaluable because you get the rights to use them to make unlimited projects and products for sale.
If you haven’t set up a free account yet at Creative Market, do so! They have 1,000’s of fonts and graphics for your projects. Plus, every week they offer six free items for download. Check out this week’s free downloads below:

In addition, you can use vinyl lettering for plastic storage bins, for monogramming so many different items like ring dishes, coasters, ornaments, cutting boards, cake carriers, decorative dishes, hats, pillows…and so much more! These vinyl bundles, as well as this vinyl pack, provide options for everything you need to start creating!
The Cricut projects to sell are endless with vinyl! You could even experiment with this cool patterned self-adhesive decorative vinyl for projects such as homemade cards, picture frames, and wall borders. Use decorative vinyl also for scrapbook layouts, invitations, and kids projects. I’m loving Craftopia’s floral patterned self-adhesive vinyl sheets as well as this cute patterned variety vinyl pack by Kate’s Craft Store.
Oh, the things you could make with your Cricut and vinyl that you could sell at local craft shows, on eBay or Etsy!

Check mega websites such as eBay and Etsy to find out what other sellers are charging for their die cut creations. You will want to price your items accordingly. It’s important to check out the marketplace for similar items before you start listing them for sale. You may find out that there isn’t much profit to be made for a particular product, and not worth it for you to consider making. If you find an item you think you can make an improvement on, consider buying it so you can really check it out. I don’t suggest copying someone else’s creation, but there’s always room for improvement on an existing idea.
You can also check your local gift shops to see if anyone else has similar items as to what you want to create with your Cricut Explore Air–or just to see what items are selling there. Big card shops that have an extensive gift section can provide inspiration for your Cricut business. Plus, if the items are for sale there, then there’s a good chance there’s a market for those items.
If you decide to create similar items, think of ways you can make yours a little bit more unique. Let them reflect your own personal style; you don’t want to be a copycat. Perhaps you can charge a bit more if you embellish your creations more than your competitors.
Your local craft shows are a great way to see if your items are popular. If they are popular offline, chances are, they will be popular online. Just remember, if you do decide to sell on eBay and/or Etsy, make sure you use popular keywords to attract visitors to your auction or listing. It’s imperative that you get this part right. See what keywords others are using in their auctions or listings to attract buyers. You will want to use these same popular keyword phrases too.
