It’s unusual for me to promote a direct sales company on my blog, but I recently learned of a relatively young direct sales company: Scentsy.
Direct sales isn’t quite my thing, but that doesn’t mean direct sales isn’t right for you. I personally know several very successful women who earned the “company” car, and were able to retire their husbands. So I know firsthand that it is a doable business!
So then, why am I promoting Scentsy? Simple–I like the products and the 0verall concept. Like I previously said, Scentsy is a young company. They are just celebrating their five-year anniversary this month (I like that too, because the market is still wide open and provides plenty of opportunity for potential consultants).
Their concept is simple too: A candle with no wick. How’s that for a safety feature? OK, there’s more to it than that so I’ll let Scentsy Consultant Director, Sherri Burton, provide her story and the Scentsy story in her own words below. What is a candle that has no wick? It’s a Scentsy candle!
Before I share Scentsy with you. I would like to introduce myself. I’m Sherri Burton a Scentsy Consultant Director for a home-based company that offers its’ scent bars and ceramic warmers at in-home parties and through business displays.
I’ve been with Scentsy for 22 months. The Safety of the Scentsy products was a “WOW” Factor for me. My daughter and I were notorious for leaving the house and forgetting to blow out the candles and finding ourselves having to turn around and come back to the house to make sure we blew them out. Scentsy has been a blessing for me and my family. It has given us the extra income to pay our bills, and actually have a real savings account for all those unexpected break downs you have with owning a home and car–without wiping out your bank account.
My long term goals with Scentsy are staying focused on Recruiting and Setting Goals. Being a great Team leader, Mentor and keep challenging and motivating my Team.
My biggest lesson that I‘ve learned in Direct Sales, is “Be who you are, share your passion, and your enthusiasm will be contagious. Those who are drawn to you will want to know you more. Don’t sacrifice YOU to get somewhere. “Sales is simply a conversation of sharing your passions with others.”
